MICHAEL and the European Digital Library: promoting Teaching, Learning and Research

Building the European Digital Library will need the development of a sound technical infrastructure. The European Commission have begun this process, with the development of a set of Interoperability Principles that will guide technical developments, and will provide a route-map showing how museums, libraries and archives can participate in the European Digital Library.
The MICHAEL project is a core part of the infrastructure for the EUDL, and the services that the project already provides to the research and educational sectors will be illustrated by a number of case studies.
